9 Carrot Living: United States; I am a registered dietitian with a Master's degree in Public Health- Nutrition emphasis. Currently I am studying food science. I am very curious about the relationship between the foods we eat and our health and well-being. Humans are complex and complicated creatures. How foods, nutrients, and phytochemicals interact with and alter our body's organs, cells, and DNA is a fascinating area of research. How we decide what to eat based on what we hear from friends, the news, social media is also very intriguing. Throw in our body's hormonal responses to the foods we smell and taste and things get tricky quite quickly. This purpose of this blog is to explore some of the questions I have regarding what we we and how those interrelate with our personal health and well-being, our environment, and human & animal welfare.
